Colliding Frames
Hunter College Faculty Association gallery
New York, NY
2011.

Francesco Vizzini’s Vitruvian Frames shows, through the use of scale and historical reference, how progress has gone array. By installing on the windows, drawings and collages inspired by Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, juxtaposed with our view of Manhattans monolithic buildings, he shows how we no longer build or create in a scale appropriate to our bodies. His work also addresses how as people we try to control and manipulate nature and reality, through his use of magnifying sheets and geometry.
